I inherited a rifle from my grandpa. It's a Marlin lever action and it says that it is a .44 rem. mag. I assume mag means magnum. What does the ''rem.'' part mean? My first thought was Remington but its a Marlin rifle, so does that mean I'm supposed to use Remington ammo?
